Pecan Pie Surprise Bars

1 pkg. Yellow cake mix (18.25 oz)
1/2 cup melted butter
1 egg
1 cup chopped pecans

FILLING:
2/3 cup reserved cake mix
1/2 cup sugar
1-1/2 cups dark Karo syrup
1 tsp. Vanilla
3 eggs

Grease bottom and sides of 13 x 9 pan. Reserving 2/3 cup dry cake mix
In large mixing bowl combine remaining dry cake mix, butter and egg;
Mix until crumbly. Press in pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 350,
Until light golden brown.

Prepare filling: Combine all filling ingredients in large mixer bowl
And beating at medium speed, 1-2 minutes. Pour filling over
Partially baked crust and sprinkle with pecans. Return to oven; bake
30-35 minutes, until filling is set. Cool and cut into bars.

These chocolate-peanut buttery cookies come from a saucepan rather than the oven. They’re made with quick-cooking rolled oats, sugar, butter and milk.

Ingredients
 
•2 cups sugar
•1/2 cup butter
•1/2 cup milk
•4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
•1 cup peanut butter
•1 teaspoon vanilla
•3 cups quick-cooking oatmeal
 
Method
 
Put sugar, butter, milk, and cocoa powder in saucepan; stir and bring to boiling. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in the rest of the ingredients. Mix well and scoop by the spoonful onto wax paper.
